Opposition criticises government for not ‘shouldering responsibility’ for inoculation plan

Hungary has yet to have a body responsible for its coronavirus vaccination plan, as no ministry has taken on the responsibility to handle the data, Socialist MEP László Újhelyi said on Saturday.

László Újhelyi told an online press conference that he had “conducted extensive correspondence” with various ministries in the past two months, trying to determine which was responsible for the vaccination plan. He said he had talked to the Human Resources Ministry, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Interior Ministry and the Foreign Ministry.

Herd immunity achieved by mass inoculation is key to reopening the country, and to provide a much-needed boost to SMEs, Újhelyi said.

Újhelyi noted that the European Union published its inoculation programme in October and concluded framework agreements on vaccine distribution with the member states soon after.

While Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom have published detailed, comprehensive programmes, the Hungarian public inoculation plan “is shorter than a lottery ticket,” Ujhelyi said.

He insisted that the Hungarian government was “dispensing what little information it has according to its political interests”. He called on the government to “stop lying” and publish a detailed, comprehensive and full inoculation plan.

  1. SOCIALIST*STUPIDITY says:
    24/01/2021 at 14:53

Yet another DUMB Socialist wants to make a name for himself – apart from just being a STUPID MORON.

Whether or not there is a ‘MINISTRY FOR VACCINATION’ is TOTALLY IRRELEVANT when the vaccines supposedly organised by the mental midgets in Brussels (and their mentally deficient political masters) will NOT be available within the time-frames promised by multinational drug companies.

The Brussels astronauts are obviously ‘on another planet’ when they state that their aim is to have 70% of susceptible people within the E.U. vaccinated by March.

    WHAT CRAP !

Get rid of ALL bureaucrats in Brussels – together with the left-wing politicians who suffer from PEDO-ORITIS (‘foot in mouth disease’) – and without doubt this pandemic can be successfully managed by E.U. nations WITHOUT continual interference or insane comments.

The Hungarian people call on Socialists to STOP LYING and publish a detailed, comprehensive and full plan of how they intend to RUIN Hungary if ever elected to a position of power.
