While Lake Balaton is a popular cycling and swimming destination, many people also go visit for a great hiking opportunity. There are many great spots to do so, such as the Bökk Hill lookout tower, Tamás Hill in Balatonfüred, or the Kisfaludy lookout tower in Balatonakarattya.

Dobogó-kő has several hiking trails, one of which even includes a ferry ride. This is recommended for more experienced hikers, as some paths may be more difficult than others. But the view is very much worth it.
