Police receive five new helicopters in Hungary
National police chief Károly Papp inaugurated the police force’s new fleet of five MD902 helicopters.
The new aircraft will be put into operation next month, replacing Mi-2 helicopters which had been used since the 1970s.
Together with the new fleet, the police will have nine helicopters to control air traffic, help find missing persons and keep public order, as well as transporting senior officials or contributing to border control, Papp said.
The five new helicopters arrived in Budapest from Germany last month.
