Hungarian politicians commemorate Pope Francis

Numerous Hungarian politicians commemorated today the recently passed Pope Francis in Facebook posts.
Orbán: ‘Holy Father, we thank you for everything’
“Holy Father, we thank you for everything,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote in a post on Facebook, in commemoration of Pope Francis, who passed away on Monday. Orbán’s post included a black-and-white photograph of himself with the Pope, with the caption: “We say farewell.”
President Sulyok: ‘Holy Father, rest in peace’
“Holy Father, by the grace of God, rest in peace,” President of the Republic Tamas Sulyok wrote in a post on Facebook in commemoration of Pope Francis, who passed away on Monday. In a caption of a picture of the pope, Sulyok wrote: “He spoke in the language of the people, so that everyone may understand him. And many did. He spoke to us Hungarians several times. We think of him with gratitude.”
Magyar: ‘Holy Father, may God be with you’
“Holy Father, may God be with you,” the leader of the opposition Tisza Party said in a statement, bidding farewell to Pope Francis, who passed away on Monday. “It is very moving when a pope leaves this earthly life following Easter Mass. As pope, Francis, like John Paul II, remained a human being, a good man and true man. We thank you for everything! God be with you, Holy Father!” the statement said.

It would be most fitting if our Politicians also take note of Pope Francis legacy – one of compassion, modesty and humility. And also take on board his thoughts on the marginalized. Migrants, refugees, members of the LGBTQ community:
