Speaker of the Hungarian parliament gets high Polish state honour
Warsaw, April 18 (MTI) – Speaker of the Hungarian parliament László Kövér has received a high Polish state honour during his two-day official visit to Poland on Tuesday.
The commanders’ cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland awarded by President Andrzej Duda was presented to the House speaker by Marek Kuchcinski, Marshal of the Sejm.
Kövér, Kuchcinski and Marshal of the Senate Stanislaw Karczewski signed an agreement of strategic partnership earlier on Tuesday.
Kövér said the agreement expressed the parties’ intention “to keep up the close cooperation we had so far”. Karczewski said it “was a further step” to strengthen inter-state relations, the two countries, the central European region and through that the whole of the EU.

Well deserved Mr. Kover. Hungary did so much for Poles and we are very grateful and amazed at the same time for the friendship Poland always had with Hungary. It is important to continue the wonderful friendship.
