Evangelical Bishop Szemerei: ‘Faith is not about credulity’

It is not easy to believe, “and rightly so, because faith is not about credulity; and this is true of Easter,” János Szemerei, presiding bishop of the Evangelical Church of Hungary, said at the Easter Sunday Service in the Old Church of Győr.
“The story of the resurrection is not only for believers, because God has done something that is important for all of us who struggle with passing away, aging, death, sin and human misery,” he said.
The resurrection “shows us a way out, some hope, some chance, some perspecive,” Szemerei said.
