Sziget Festival to feature new look, lineup, ‘cultural districts’, accommodation options: here are the beer and ticket prices

The 31st Sziget Festival is welcoming revellers with a fresh lineup, visuals and new “cultural districts”, the organisers told a press conference on Thursday. Headliners include ASAP Rocky, Post Malone and Shawn Mendes.

Entrance ticket, beer costs do not change, new catering, accommodation solutions

According to turizmus.com, entrance tickets and beer costs will not change this year compared to the 2024 festival. Chief organiser Tamás Kádár said they expected that more than 50% of the participants would be Hungarians.

Concerning accommodation, they will open the Sziget Ville Premium offering exclusive, premium tents and wooden houses available in various sizes and with different amenities. Guests who would relax can go to the Wellness Centre, where the organisers welcome them with massages, yoga classes, aromatherapy, hammock relaxation, and a sauna area.

Additionally, organisers would like to increase the catering service level. Guests will be able to select from Hungarian and international dishes. The organisers promised they would pay special attention to the needs of people living with food sensitivities and following a plant-based diet. Therefore, more than ever, vegetarian dishes will be on the menu. Furthermore, budget-friendly dishes will remain available.

They also plan to create a deposit system to minimise the number of tents left on the island after the festival.

New Sziget Festival outlook

The new look is part of a three-year plan developed in response to the changing habits of punters since the pandemic, chief organiser Tamás Kádár said. This year’s festival taking place between 6 and 11 August will boast new distict-looking zones so visitors can find their destinations more easily, Kádár said. Innovations will include the Delta District, the “night-time district of Sziget“, offering entertainment from dusk till dawn, and the Szoho, “an iconic, dynamic district with a focus on arts and a multicultural energy.”

The entry area, “the iconic K bridge”, will also receive “strong visual garb … with huge, colourful birds flying among its pillars to the island of freedom…” he said. “What will definitely remain unchanged are the fundamental values and message of Sziget, of celebrating and living our personal freedom at the festival,” he added.
