The famous musical fountain of Budapest is available to visit
On the 22nd of April the fountain on Margaret Island came to life again, writes hvg.hu. Since Earth Day it is available for people who wants to pay a visit to the mesmerizing spectacle.
The fountain started operating in 2013 and is one of the biggest fountains in Europe, for it consists of a pool with a diameter of 35 metres, which holds 400 cubic metre water and its water surface is more than 1000 square metres. The streams go up to 10 metres and its lightning is provided by 250 energy-saving LED-lamps in the evenings.
Twice a day (at 11 am and 4 pm) it plays music for children, including A cinege cipője by Judit Halász, the soundtrack of the cartoon Pumukli, a song from Cinderella, Kati Wolf’s Vuk, Miki manó 100 Folk Celsius, Micimackó by Zsuzsa Koncz and the song Legyetek jók, ha tudtok by the Napoleon Boulevard. From 9 to 10 pm it plays its whole repertoire of songs.
Make sure to pay a visit to Margaret Island to witness how this lovely fountain works, especially now, as the spring is here, and it gets more and more pleasant to go outside to nature.
