This is how Budapest uses Uber
Currently 55 thousand people are registered in the capital city and they are served by a thousand chauffeurs.
Vs. hu writes that Uber arrived to Budapest last November and even though it triggered the protest of the taxi drivers, it has been used over 600 thousand times since then.
Statistics made by the firm say that there is no difference between the inner and outer districts. What’s interesting is that most of the rides start or end at a metro station. They think that it is because this is how people living in the suburbs shorten their travel.
According to the plans of Uber, the number of drivers could grow with another thousand until the end of 2016. This would reduce the awaiting time which is currently 4,5 minutes.
