Varga proposes state secretary replacements

economy

Budapest, September 28 (MTI) – The economy ministry on Monday announced a number of proposed changes to staff.

Economy Minister Mihaly Varga is proposing replacing state secretary for the labour market and vocational training Sandor Czomba, who resigned with effect from September 30, with Peter Cseresnyes, a former mayor and now a member of parliament’s economy committee.

Varga is recommending replacing Bela Glattfelder, secretary for economic regulation, with Istvan Lepsenyi, an engineer who was earlier the top executive at Magyar Suzuki and Knorr-Bremse Fekrendszer.

Varga is proposing the replacement of state secretary for financial policy Gabor Orban, who left his post at the end of July already, with the lawyer and economist Agnes Hornung, who heads the Economic and Financial Unit at Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU.

In the future state secretary Andras Tallai will be in charge of tax affairs as deputy minister and he will lead the new tax affairs state secretariat within the ministry. He will retain his post as parliamentary state secretary, too.

The minister expressed his thanks for the work of the state secretaries who are leaving their posts.
