VIDEO: Hundreds evacuated due to bomb threat near Budapest
A man called the emergency line saying that he planted a bomb in Dány, a small village close to Budapest. He added if specialists did not neutralise the bomb he placed in Akácfa Street, it would blow up in just 3 hours.
According to 24.hu, the man did not share an address. Therefore, the police evacuated the entire street. As a result, 200 people had to leave their homes. Thankfully, the officers did not find a bomb anywhere.
Meanwhile, the police were working on the case and gathered all information available. Finally, the commander of the police headquarters of Isaszeg recognised the bloke’s voice. As a result, they could identify the perpetrator, the 29-year-old Gábor K.
Officers caught him shortly afterwards and interrogated him putting him in jail for pre-trial detention. At first, he denied everything. But after facing the evidence, he spitted out the truth. The police did not share what sentence he may expect after turning the day upside down for more than 200 residents.
