15-year-old girl beaten after refusing to become a prostitute

A couple from Gávavencsellő was interrogated by the police. They are accused of human trafficking and forced labour. The victim is a 15-year-old girl.

Detectives were looking for a 15-year-old minor who went missing. They found her in a house in Gávavencsellő. She had been a victim of abuse, which was indicated by the injuries on her body. The girl, who otherwise lives in a child protection institution, told the police that she had been abused. Criminal proceedings have started, writes police.hu.

The girl ran away, and a family took her in. Later, the couple convinced her to go to Austria with them and an acquaintance of theirs who was a prostitute in a bar. The woman, aged 25, and the man, aged 21, wanted to force the minor to become a prostitute. She refused, and the owner of the bar did not want her to work because of her age. The couple took the girl back to Hungary where the man hit her and pressed a burning cigarette into her hand and tongue.

The woman told Tények that they thought the girl was 18 years old. She said that the girl told her that she wanted to go abroad because she wanted to buy a house. According to the woman, the girl did not want to be with her father.

The woman also tried to explain that the girl fell in love with her partner, and they ran away together. She said that the girl made up the entire story.

This contradicts what the girl told the police and also the fact that there were injuries on the girl’s body. The woman can freely defend herself, but the man could be taken into custody soon.
