An 18-year-old secondary school student has been missing from Budapest for three days, with police appealing to the public for information about his whereabouts.
Bauer Dénes left his home in the Hungarian capital’s Zugló district at around 6 PM on 6 October and has not been located since, according to the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK).
The 14th District Police Department has issued a missing person notice and is continuing to search for the teenager. Police are asking anyone who may have seen the young man or has information about his disappearance to come forward.
What does the missing student look like?
According to the police description, Bauer is approximately 182 centimetres tall, with short brown hair and green eyes. When he left his home, he was reportedly wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, greyish jeans and dark blue trainers with white soles.
Authorities have not provided further details about the circumstances of his disappearance in the available reports.

Police appeal for public assistance
The Budapest police are urging anyone with information about Bauer’s current whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance to contact the authorities.
Information can be provided anonymously through Hungary’s free, round-the-clock Witness Hotline on +36-80-555-111. Anyone with information can also call the national emergency number, 112.
Police have stressed that even seemingly minor information could help establish where the missing teenager may be.
Anyone who recognises Bauer from the description or may have encountered him since he left home on 6 October is encouraged to contact the authorities as soon as possible. The search remains ongoing.
