EFOTT Festival, also known as the biggest student party of the summer (not only for students) will rock Lake Velence between the 11th and 17th of July with a colourful international and Hungarian music line-up, fun sporting and cultural activities.

The festival started out as a travelling festival but grew into one of the most awaited programme series of the summer. The organisers of EFOTT (Egyetemisták és Főiskolások Országos Turisztikai Találkozója) invited the most popular Hungarian bands along with some world-famous performers.

The Hungarian bands include Well Hello, Halott Pénz, Punnany Massif, Irie Maffia, Kiscsillag, Vad Fruttik and Brains, who will all try to stick to the slogan of the festival, “Just freely…” which perfectly describes the atmosphere that is created at Lake Velence. Regarding the international performers, we highlighted five concerts that will definitely rock the lake and the neighbouring villages 😉

Hurts

The first foreign performers were announced in December, and they were none other than the beloved English synth-pop band Hurts, known for their sophisticated style and melancholic songs. The creators of Wonderful Life claim that they pay a lot of attention when choosing their concert venues, so they must have been satisfied with EFOTT. They’ll perform the songs from their newest album, Surrender.

Sean Paul

After ten years, the world-famous Jamaican pop, dancehall and reggae musician, producer and songwriter Sean Paul returns to Hungary. He won a Grammy Award for his Dutty Rock album and performed at the most illustrious stages in the world. He has worked together with fellow stars like Kelly Rowland, Santana, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Snoop Dog and Sia. The ultimate entertainment is guaranteed.

Tinie Tempah

The English rapper, singer, songwriter will take the stage on the 16th of July. His first album, Disc-Overy came out in 2010 with such popular songs as Pass out and Frisky. He won two Brit Awards in 2011 and worked together with – among others – Wiz Khalifa, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Cheryl Cole.

Borgore

The lovers of electronic music must have been very happy when they heard that the Israeli DJ, Borgore also comes to EFOTT. This is the second time that the DJ added Lake Velence to his world-tour venues, so he’s almost a “regular” at the festival. Last time he surprised the organisers with a special request: he ordered a real monkey to the backstage area. We wonder what he asked for this year…

DYRO

He is kept count of as one of the most talented Dutch DJ-s, whose career started in 2011. He quickly got to work together with Hardwell and Brigth Lights, with whom he created Never Say Goodbye, or Tiesto, with whom they came up with the Paradise mix. He recently founded his own record company, and became the presenter of a radio show.

Check out last year’s after movie to get a taste of what’s waiting for you at Lake Velence next week 😉 See you there!
