Scandalous! Hungarian GP gave immunity certificates for 139 EUR — VIDEO
In the north-eastern part of Hungary, in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, an immunity certificate was purchased by people who did not receive any vaccination against the coronavirus. An investigation is underway against a 54-year-old GP and his 25-year-old helper.
Index.hu reports that the Hungarian police caught two men who provided people with an immunity certificate in exchange for money. The Hungarian government wanted to achieve several goals by introducing the immunity certificate. On the one hand, this would promote vaccination among Hungarian residents, and on the other hand, thanks to the certificate (and vaccination), catering units could open sooner.
An immunity certificate could only be obtained by a person who received one of the vaccines or has proof of having contracted the infection.
However, some seem to have bypassed the system. In Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, a 54-year-old family doctor and his 25-year-old helper provided people with a protection card for money. According to police information, the 25-year-old man was looking for people who did not want to be vaccinated. After recruitment, the 54-year-old GP welcomed people in the office. The doctor recorded them in the healthcare system as if they had been vaccinated.
Clients paid HUF 50,000 (€139) to the doctor in exchange for the service.
The doctor then shared the money with his assistant. Both suspects were apprehended by the Hungarian police with the help of staff from the Jonathan Public Support Subdivision. Both men were interrogated on suspicion of bribery and on suspicion of misuse of a security clearance, writes 24.hu. After the interrogation, the two suspects were detained by the police. If the court finds them guilty, they could face up to 12 years in prison.
In another part of the country, in the capital of Lake Balaton, Siófok, the police were not idle either. Police caught a 37-year-old local resident. The man stole the unattended valuables of bathers and beach-goers. The owners of the stolen jewellery, documents and wallets gave an accurate personal description of the perpetrator. Thanks to the city camera system, the man’s whereabouts were identified. The man was then captured, and the stolen objects were found. Police detained the suspect for a theft offense. Police are calling on beach-goers to pay close attention to their valuables, writes police.hu.

What is truly ssnadloes is that people like me, double jabbed since early May have still not received our certificates and do not respond to 4 letters (written in fluent Hungarian) to the right authority. A crap system.
Hey, anonymous, next time use a service like the one above instead of the national service. Maybe you’ll get your certifcate faster 😉
