Budapest, June 25 (MTI) – Debrecen’s brand new Nagyerdei Stadium will host this year’s Campus Festival on July 23-27, the festival’s spokesman told MTI.

Csaba Bako said that last summer’s festival had attracted 60,000 visitors, breaking all previous records.

This year will see the festival return to the Nagyerdei Stadium area.

Bako said the festival’s lineup of both domestic and international performers will aim to include nearly every musical genre. Campus Festival will host a wide variety of events, such as plays, film screenings, sporting events, gastronomic exhibitions, and more.

The long list of international performers includes Danish pop group The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Swiss sensation DJ Antoine and German DJ Wankelmut.

The festival’s second biggest venue, the Arena tent, will play host to a series of rock concerts. Spearheading the lineup is American punk rock band Nations Afire, who have just launched their second European tour.

The spokesman said Campus Festival will have no shortage of local fan favourites: Hungarian rock group Tankcsapda – currently celebrating their 25th anniversary – will also be present.
