David Klein Climbed Above 8000 Meters Preparing For The Peak Attack
The Hungarian Mountaineer plans to climb Mount Everest without the use of bottled oxygen, origo.hu reports.
Klein spent the night in the second camp at 7800 meters. He started the ascent at 2 a.m. according to Hungarian time and climbed to about 8000-8150 meters height, informed SPAR Everest Expedition MTI.
Klein now will return to the advanced basecamp (6400 meters) to meet Edina Török. They descended back to the base camp (5200 meters) on Wednesday. This was the last moment of Kelin’s acclimatization tour, which was started on Saturday. He will now rest for a few days and then- if the weather will be acceptable- he will initiate he peak attack.
Klein started the Spar Everest Expedition, as we have reported, on April 6 to climb the highest mount in the world, Mount Everest (8848 meters) without the use of bottled oxygen. This was only accomplished by about 200 people in the world, Hungarian mountaineer has never done so.
