Her body was found in an animal burial - Police.hu

A man from Veresegyháza has been brutally abusing and torturing his 49-year-old Ukrainian partner for years.

The woman was too afraid to see a doctor, let alone go to the police. She came to Hungary illegally, with no residence permit or health care assurance. Fear from being deported back to her country was stronger than the pain she had to endure.

Hajnalka K’s body was found three months later in an animal cemetery under a horse’s corpse.

“Hajni used to work in the neighbouring horticulture, she got together with Karcsika in the local pub four years ago” – according to a source of blikk.hu, an employee of the Bear shelter Károly A. (49), alias Karcsika is also working at. “Karcsika moved here 20 years ago from Romania, he used to take care of the Hungarian Grey Cattles, he had a place right next to the barn where he let Hajni stay. Everyone was concerned about what would turn out of this romance. The question was not whether there would be a tragedy, but when it happens, as Karcsika always drank a lot and when he did, he got completely wasted. One time he broke both her hands.”

In November, Hajnalka suddenly disappeared. Károly told all his colleagues she had moved away from him but had no idea where. Last Thursday, the animal shelter’s caretaker was finally was detained by the investigators of the Police Headquarters of Pest County. After failing the polygraph, he admitted what he had done to his partner. The next dawn he led the police to the cemetery where they found her remains in 15 minutes.

“As I know, on that fatal night, Karcsika got very jealous. First, she cut her, beat her up almost half-dead, then he started kicking her with his steel-capped boots in the face and the chest before hanging her up in his place” – told an information source to blikk.hu. “After covering her body with a blanket, he put her on his tractor and buried her in the animal burial 500 metres away from the crime scene.

Every day he was going past that spot after that like nothing had happened.”

“My sister never had a happy moment with Karcsika” – said Hajnalka’s brother. “Our mother already had to bury her younger daughter years ago, who lost her life due to medical malpractice. Hajnalka will be put to rest right next to her sister.”

Károly A. is charged with murder committed with particular violence, and it will probably cost him 20 years in prison.
