House speaker opens kindergarten of Fasor Reformed church
Hungarians keep building new churches and schools, demonstrating that the work done since 2010 helped the country “regain its future”, House Speaker László Kövér said at the opening of a new kindergarten by the Fasor Reformed church community in Budapest on Sunday.
In the past nine years, some 120 new churches were built and 3,000 revamped in the Carpathian Basin, he said.
The Hungarian Reformed Church has access to some 30 billion forints (EUR 90m) for its kindergarten scheme, which enables setting up more than 40 new kindergartens and revamping another 25, Kövér said.
Additionally, ethnic Hungarian communities abroad are building 160 kindergartens with support from Hungary, the house speaker said.
