Hungarian army: First two Airbus helicopters arrive in Hungary – PHOTOS
The first two of 20 helicopters purchased for the Hungarian army have arrived at Szolnok airbase, the base’s commander said on Tuesday.
The Airbus H145M light multirole helicopters purchased in the framework of the comprehensive Zrínyi 2026 army modernisation programme arrived on Monday and were presented to the press at the Budaörs airfield near Budapest, Brigadier-General József Koller told public news channel M1.
The helicopters can be used for a wide range of tasks including search and evacuation, transport, reconnaissance, combat and training, he said.

The Airbus H145M flies at a speed of 278 kms per hour and up to a height of 6,000 metres. It operates a flexible weapon management system.
The manufacturer is currently training 50 pilots and 60 technical support staff to operate the fleet of 20 helicopters.
