Hungarian family affairs Minister: “There is no alternative to the family”
Participants at the 4th Demographic Summit in Budapest concluded that “there is no alternative to the family” and agreed that there is no sustainable future development without more children born, Katalin Novák, the minister without portfolio in charge of family affairs, said in her address wrapping up the two-day event.
Novák called for a continued firm commitment to representing traditional values and the passing of decisions on measures that support establishing a family and raising children.
She highlighted the importance of the summit, saying that “there is a need to have such opportunities when we can talk and can think together”.
4th Demographic Summit started today in Budapest
Novák welcomed that this year’s summit was attended by top government officials from eight EU member states, adding hope that” by 2030 the majority of EU member states will be pro-family”.
“As far as we’re concerned, we are going to work to achieve this,” she said.

Family = mother, father, children.
Man, woman, children …. God’s Plan
Some families consist of mother, father, children. Others do not. Children become adults and may not have children of their own. Is a widowed father with children not a family? Is a woman with adopted/fostered children not a family? Are grandparents bringing up grandchildren not a family? Are two women or two men with children not a family? Come on Istvan; take off your blinkers and stop being an ill informed bigot.
Well Rosa, scientifically it has been proven that families need to have two parents in helping to develop the emotional and physical wellbeing of the child.
Of course, some parents should have never been together ad divorce is sometimes the better option for the wellbeing of a child.
Still, I would argue that a single parent is not ideal and only brings hardships onto the child.
For LGBT parents, I would say two LGBT parents in a household should be commendable if the parents are not worried about their child being straight and taking part in “gender roles.”
I have seen too many articles from LGBT parents who had their heads up their own *** about their child not conforming to their own views. The point is that raising a child is about helping them become responsible citizens, even if the kids will have views different from their parents (whether their parents are gay or if their parents are Christian).
There’s IVF, there are egg and sperm donors, there are surrogate mothers. Clearly this woman is behind the rimes.
Yes, this woman is behind the times. I think it will encourage more people to leave Hungary. Young widows, widowers, those who cannot conceive naturally, all this is doing is ostracising them even more, making them feel abnormal, inferior. Very bad politics. They don’t stop to think of other people’s lives. I see those who still can’t afford to have work done on their houses, and they have children. Whatever the government says, there’s always a catch in their promise of a better life. The home improvement loan is not for the people who really need it, it’s for those who can already afford it. My neighbour is proof of that and laughed when she told me!
Rosa, you were doing pretty well until you dropped in the “Are two women or two men with children not a family?” LGBTQP garbage. Every one of the examples you listed, with the exception of last one is derived from the “mother, father, children” family but either through divorce or death, the ideal family unit broke. These people make the best with the situation and deserve our support. The LGBTQP perversion is another thing. It is an aggressive, anti-family, anti-women, anti-nation, anti-God “förtelem”. Hungarians have no use for it.
No LGBTQP perversion in Hungarian schools!

Reading István’s comments are interesting. Always the same, anti, anti, anti yet no explanation as to why he thinks this. Portrays disgust and repulsion and use of the word perversion after LGBTQ. A psychiatrist would find this fascinating I think. Maybe disgust and repulsion at himself for the way he feels, not accepting who he is yet.
You are a troll that can’t get his head out of his own behind.
Why is this pervert following me around? Sick.
