Hungarian web sales close to European average
Web sales account for over 6 percent of Hungarian retail trade, hardly below the European average of 7 percent, daily Népszava said on Thursday, citing the latest Eurostat data.
Among the EU member states, the highest percentages of turnover realized through web sales were in Belgium and Ireland (both 15 percent).
The member states with the lowest proportion of total turnover from web sales were Bulgaria and Slovenia (both 2 percent).
In terms of online market places, however, the Hungarian share lagged far behind the other member states.
