Hungary has taken another step forward in increasing its appeal with the opening of the ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said at the hotel’s inauguration on Wednesday.
The 3.2 billion forint (EUR 10.2m) 145-room hotel built by developer Wing will be operated by ibis, a member of the Orbis Hotel Group.
“We can be proud of the fact that one of the world’s leading travel and hotel groups decided to operate a hotel in Budapest alongside impressive-sounding cities like Paris, London or Brasilia,” Szijjártó said.
The minister said Hungary’s first airport hotel with direct terminal access has filled a void at Liszt Ferenc International Airport.
