NBH scandal – Socialists call for parlt probe over central bank spending
Budapest, May 13 (MTI) – The Socialist Party wants parliament to set up a committee to investigate central bank spending, József Tóbiás, leader of the Socialist party, said.
Every day details of murky dealings come to light in connection with the central bank and these should be investigated, Tóbiás said. Suspicions of organised corruption will remain unless an investigation allays them, he added.
Tóbiás called on the ruling Fidesz party not to block the establishment of the committee which should hear central bank governor György Matolcsy, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, government office chief János Lázár, Justice Minister László Trócsányi and Economy Minister Mihály Varga in connection with central bank’s spending.
