Patriarch of Bulgaria visits Hungary
Budapest, May 11 (MTI) – Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria is on a visit in Hungary to mark the one hundredth anniversary of the founding of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church of Hungary, the parliamentary delegate for the Bulgarian minority said on Wednesday.
Simeon Varga told public news channel M1 that the patriarch on Tuesday met Cardinal Péter Erdő, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, and delivered a mass in the Bulgarian Orthodox church.
There are currently 6,000 to 6,500 Bulgarians living in Hungary, Varga said.
