Socialists demand more stringent punishment for child pornography
Opposition Socialist MPs on Wednesday demanded that punishments for crimes involving child pornography should be made more stringent, in the wake of a recent, “unbelievably lenient” ruling.
Attila Mesterházy told an online press conference that the one year suspended imprisonment handed to Gábor Kaleta, Hungary’s former ambassador to Peru, for owning nearly 20,000 child porn pictures, had “shocked” society and the ruling was “harming people’s sense of justice”.
“Ruling Fidesz’s politicians are quiet and it seems the ruling has not shaken them to make any proposals,” Mesterházy said.
He noted that the former ambassador had been screened by the secret services and criticised the court for considering Kaleta’s being a civil servant as an extenuating condition.

Fidesz said in a statement that Hungary’s Left had in recent years “sided with criminals” and declined to support proposals aimed at fighting sexual crimes against children.
“The Left wing, together with the Soros network have been working to liberalise and ease Hungary’s penal policy,” the statement said.
Fidesz group leader Máté Kocsis said on Facebook later in the day that the lenient sentence was “shocking and unacceptable” in view of a “disgusting” crime. He pledged that the government would revise relevant regulations and propose more stringent punishments. The government will also propose that in future paedophiles should be registered in publicly accessible files.

It is time for Hungary to compile a List of ALL pedophiles and do like they do in the US. Maintain public list of ALL pedophiles and their current places of residence and compel them to register with the local police where they reside. Bar them from employment where they would have interaction with children, bar them from living within a certain distance of schools, daycare facilities, parks and playgrounds and churches. Bar them from owning a computer or smartphone, having social media accountsand from accessing the internet for any reason. Mandate GPS tracking devices be worn by these convicted pedophiles with a mandatory 20 year sentence tampering with the tracking device or for failing to comply with the laws regarding their release from prison after a mandatory minimum term of 20 years without the option of early release. If they get caught and convicted a second time they should get the death penalty or life in prison without ever being released again. One difference from the American law would be that if the age difference is less than 3 years and they were in a consenting relationship it would not fall into being a sex crime. Many parents in the US whom dislike their teenagers boyfriend or girl friend have tried to press charges under a clause called statutory rape. That should not be a criminal offense.
These vile aberrations of nature must be imprisoned for life in solitary confinement and never allowed to see the light of day.
As an extra punishment, their nuts should be cut off so that they cannot ‘play’ with themselves.
It has been reported in the media (“HUNGARY TODAY”) that Gábor Kaleta – Hungary’s ‘pervert extraordinaire’ – yesterday APPEALED his sentence (one year ‘suspended imprisonment’ and a small fine) for paedophilia.
The relevant ‘appeals court’ can now rectify the previous PATHETICALLY LENIENT PUNISHMENT imposed on Pervert Kaleta.
At the very least he should be incarcerated in Hungary’s prison system for a period NOT LESS THAN TWENTY YEARS (as suggested by ‘Jack Russell’) where other inmates can ensure that ‘justice for children’ is carried out without delay on this previous international representative for Hungary.
The political leaders of Hungary should – for once – unite to ensure that Gábor Kaleta is made an ‘example of’ so as to strongly deter other ‘sub-humans’ with similar tendencies.
