The creative Hungarian mom you need to follow on Instagram
A Hungarian mother is ruling Instagram with her amazing-looking, creative and kid-friendly foods. She uses the simplest ingredients and creates something very special out of them. These meals look so yummy that even you will want a bite of them.
Anita Zsirmik is a mother of two, and she is also the creator of some pretty amazing food creations, posted on her Instagram account: @picifalat. She has become quite the master of presentation according to Dívány.hu. Anita started creating the fanciful dishes when she realised that her daughter was much pickier in terms of the food she was willing to eat than her son. Anita had to come up with unique, “child-friendly” (as she calls it) solutions to persuade her daughter to get all the necessary nutrition.
She started creating these amazing forms and shapes for her daughter’s and for her own joy. Luckily, she decided to share them with the world when she created her Instagram account. You can follow her here: @picifalat
“Creativity has always been there in my life. I have been making things ever since I was a little girl; I drew, crocheted, made photographs or home décor. I always had these separate things, but I started focusing on this one thing when my daughter was born.”
Her creative process alternates: sometimes she already has the ingredients, then she comes up with the shape; other times she already has an image in her head, and she needs to find the right ingredient for that specific creation in mind.
“Last year before Christmas, I knew that I wanted to make the Grinch. I just needed to find the perfect green ingredient: kiwis. I just started arranging the slices and did not give up until it looked like it.”
The most difficult thing for Anita is taking photos of the meals. It is not an easy thing to do when her daughter is demanding all of her attention during the day. She sometimes takes the photos overnight or tries to get her daughter involved to make the process more efficient.
