Following the shoot last year director Ron Howard was dissatisfied with some scenes and ordered the cast and crew to return to the Hungarian capital this February. During the shoot, Tom Hanks appeared in several parts of the city, including some bars, and he seemed to be enjoying his stay in Hungary. Dan Brown, on whose book the film is based, celebrated his birthday in Budapest as well.
Dante’s Divine Comedy comes to life in the sequel to The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. Tom Hanks plays Robert Langdon, Harward professor of symbology, while his partner is played by Felicity Jones. Two Hungarian actors, Attila Árpa and Kata Sarbó also got minor roles in the film. Budapest will appear as other locations in Venice and Florence.
