This event is organised on a yearly basis, and it is the most prestigious competition of its kind. Participants arrive at the event from all over the world to compete with their peers. The most talented competitors get valuable prizes in four categories: solo, duet, mixed duet and team routines.
The FINA World Series organises 10 competitions in 2018. First, in France at the beginning of March, finally in Uzbekistan in June. Slovakia, Greece and Hungary join the competition for the first time.
Budapest is very proud to have the honour to organise the series between 18-20 May as the 5th city in 2018 .
The event will take place at the newly-constructed Duna Arena.
According to MSZUSZ (Hungarian Artistic Swimming Association), visitors of the event will be able to see some well-known competitors. The Russian team, for example, won a gold medal, but the Spanish performance is also unmissable, among others.
Origo.hu reports that
15 countries have applied for the competition so far. However, organisers expect even more applications.
Tickets are available for 400 to 800 forints (1.3 to 2.6 euros) through the Eventim network. We cannot wait to see the Hungarian team’s performance in Budapest, and we wish them good luck! 🙂
