Book proposal: Robert Babirad’s LOVE IN BUDAPEST

art book Budapest Hungary

Following the success of Westhampton Beach Christmas and In-Transit Passenger: Making the Journey Matter, Robert Babirad is back with his latest romance, Love in Budapest (TouchPoint Press, June 8, 2022). This is the first installment in the Love Abroad Series, which is set to be a series of three.

Love in Budapest follows Lillianna, a New York attorney who is suddenly forced to travel to Budapest for work. There, she meets a young professor who agrees to help with research for her project, but as they get to know one another, a relationship blooms. It may not be the direction Lillianna was imagining for her life, but sometimes, a shift in direction is exactly what the heart needs, and now she must decide if she follows her head or her heart.

About the Book

New York City attorney Lillianna seems to have it all and her life for the foreseeable future figured out. An unexpected turn of events suddenly results in her being sent across the world to Budapest for an unspecified period of time, if she still wants to have a job.

Lillianna is assigned to a special project in her firm’s Budapest office where she is responsible for completing a brief that will be submitted to the European Court of Justice—a project that requires a familiarity with Budapest for its successful completion. An accidental meeting leads her to a handsome young professor who agrees to help with the research components of the brief. As the duo enjoy Budapest’s rich culture and history, feelings grow and a relationship gradually develops only to be jeopardized when Lillianna is dropped from the project and suddenly called back to New York.

Will Lillianna embrace the new life she has developed in Budapest or return to the comfortable life she’s planned and built in New York?

Copies of Love in Budapest (coming June 8, 2022) are available for pre-order through major book retailers in eBook ($3.99), paperback ($14.99). Wholesale from Ingram and TouchPoint Press.
