Green opposition: Govt has failed to meet pledges on wind turbines

The government has so far failed to deliver on the pledges it made in connection with wind turbines as part of its efforts to access EU recovery funding, the deputy group leader of green opposition LMP said on Monday.

The government pledged to abolish by March 31 “the absurd restrictions” on the installation of wind turbines, Antal Csardi told a press conference. It also pledged to conduct a broad public consultation on the matter and to launch “a transparent and comprehensive dialogue” with local governments by the deadline, he said.

“LMP last week sought the opportunity for consultation and draft legislation on changing the regulation on wind turbines in a lot of places, but could not find them,” said Csárdi.

“The government insists on using Russian fossil energy which is however not cheap, and will not be so, and it is, in addition, dangerous.”

“We know there is a disagreement within [ruling] Fidesz about wind turbines and that the prime minister is one of those opposing them. And although he seemed to join the camp of supporters with the EU funds in mind, still nothing has happened,” Csárdi said, adding that parliament’s Fidesz majority had voted down every proposal LMP had submitted in the past on permitting the use of wind turbines.

“We will, however, not allow the issue to be removed from parliament’s agenda and will keep submitting our proposal … until the government has no other option but to fulfill its own commitments,” Csárdi said.

These communist “greens” have to face reality about wind turbines. They are very environmental unfriendly to make. They produce fine dust which is very toxic. (see reports in Germany). They use a lot of maintenance and have a short life span. (see reports in Germany and the Netherlands) The parts cannot be recycled simply because they are very toxic. The noise they make is unbearable for people who live close to them. They are very dangerous for birds and insects. Huge numbers of them are killed by these “green” wind turbines. I didn’t even start about how these ugly things destroy the views on the landscape.

Having said this. Wind turbines are very unreliable as a power source. Also, a whistleblower has revealed that Scotland’s wind turbines ran on fossil fuels for up to six hours a day. https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/news/politics/snpgreens-accused-environmental-madness-wind-29142836

In this case, I support the government’s mission to stop this madness of using wind turbines.

In addition to Geza Hegedus’ comment, here’s another truth bomb or two for the Greenies. 1. Wind turbines contain a lot of components based on rare-earth elements that are mined by underage children in Africa for almost nothing. In other words, they run on child slave labor. 2. They are non-recyclable. At the end of their usability span, some of their components are so toxic to the environment that they have to be handled almost as if they were nuclear waste. So, can we PLEASE get our heads out of our sixes already and send all this “green” B.S. where it belongs!?! If we need to wean ourselves off of fossil fuels, and we do, then let’s relentlessly pursue nuclear fission and especially fusion as well as hydroelectric energy. Also, coal power generation is today infinitely cleaner than it used to be so, aside from blind dogma, there is no need to continue shunning it.

May I (jokingly) suggest that these two (comment makers) retire to GREENER 🙂 😀 pastures, along with their false ideas.

I still remember the scaremongering with outrageous ideas about what will happen to us when 5G is introduced.
