Nālandā University, Rajgir, India, and Dharma Gate Buddhist College, Budapest, Hungary, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote and strengthen academic, educational, cultural and scholarly exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions.
The MoU provides a framework for cooperation between the two institutions with a view to strengthening their intellectual ties and developing academic collaborations across a diverse range of disciplines. It reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to promoting mutual understanding, goodwill and greater institutional linkages between India and Hungary.
Under the MoU, the two institutions will explore and promote cooperation in a range of academic areas, including joint research supervision, joint teaching programmes, post-doctoral research, joint conferences and symposiums, academic publications, and exchange of faculty, research fellows and students. The cooperation will also include exchange of publications and mutual access to academic literature and materials, as well as other activities that may be mutually agreed upon.
The MoU will provide opportunities for enhanced interaction among academics, researchers, faculty members and students of the two institutions, thereby facilitating the exchange of knowledge, ideas and academic expertise. Such exchanges are expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of India’s rich intellectual, educational and cultural heritage in Hungary and further strengthen academic connections between the two countries.
