Miklos Jancso commemorated at event on sidelines of Berlinale
(MTI) – Cinema Total, an event hosted by the Collegium Hungaricum in Berlin (CHB) on the sidelines of the 64th Berlinale film festival, started on Saturday; film director Miklos Jancso was commmemorated at the opening of the event.
Director of the CHB Can Togay said the recently deceased film director was a role model both for him and his whole generation.
The Collegium Hungaricum in Berlin has hosted Cinema Total for the seventh consecutive year, with the aim of attracting as much attention as possible to Central European film during the Berlinale film festival.
This year, the five-day series of events titled ‘Cinema Total 7 – Special Encounters’ focuses on film in the region and film in Hungary as well as the situation of women in film production.
