Orbán in talks with Bavarian CSU deputy leader on migration crisis
Budapest, September 23 (MTI) – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received on Friday morning deputy leader of the Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU), Christian Schmidt, who is also Germany’s farm minister, the PM’s spokesman told MTI.
Schmidt has for many years handled the CSU’s foreign and defence policies, Bertalan Havasi said, adding that the focus of his talks with Orbán was Europe’s migration crisis.
General European issues were also reviewed by the two politicians, including possibilities tied to Hungary’s proposal to form a joint European armed forces.
Both agreed that Hungary-Germany agricultural ties and Hungary-Bavaria political cooperation were exemplary, Havasi said.
