PHOTOS: New Hungarian Research Network HUN-REN headquarters opened

Scientists must be offered opportunities and support in order to keep them in Hungary, which is also the reason why the renewal of Hungary’s national research network is a victory of national strategy, and the opening of their new headquarters is a recognition of their researchers, President Tamás Sulyok said on Friday.
Sulyok said at the opening of the new headquarters of the Hungarian Research Network HUN-REN that Hungarian researchers were seeking effective responses to the challenges of the current era, thereby strengthening Hungarian science and researchers’ intellectual performance at the international front line.

“HUN-REN is dedicated to the closest cooperation between universities, the state and private sectors, in order to turn inventions to practical solutions,” he said. Deputy state secretary in charge of innovation László Bódis said it was high time to start strengthening the Hungarian Research Network, an important pillar of the research ecosystem.
