The initiative aimed to showcase the diversity and quality of Italian wine production to the Hungarian market, which traditionally shows great interest in Italian wines. In 2024, Italian wine exports to Hungary reached a value of €9.3 billion, with a market share of 34.6%.

The program featured two masterclasses led by experts Fabio Aimar and György Orodán:
- “The Bio Diversity of Italian Grape Varieties in 5 Iconic Wines”
- “Climatic and Territorial Diversities – The Vineyards in Italy and Overview of Trending Wines”

During the “Meet the Buyer Program” and the “Winelovers X” events, participating wineries had the opportunity to meet professionals and potential business partners. They also competed for prestigious quality recognitions at the Winelovers Wine Awards. In addition to Hungarian experts, international professionals and buyers attended the events, coming from countries such as Switzerland, Austria, Romania, and England.
The results of the Winelovers Wine Awards competition will be announced in July. Subsequently, in September, the “Winelovers 100” event will take place, where the Italian Trade Agency plans to further promote the participating wineries and their wines through special promotions and dedicated stands.

With this initiative, the Italian Trade Agency office in Budapest once again demonstrates its commitment to promoting the excellence of Made in Italy and expanding market opportunities for Italian businesses in Hungary.
