BREAKING: US soldier dies in training accident in Hungary

A US Army soldier has died and another was hospitalised following a training accident near Camp Croft, a NATO military base located close to Veszprém, Hungary. The incident occurred during a scheduled exercise on 5 June.
According to an official statement by the US Army, the soldiers were involved in a vehicle rollover at approximately 1:00 PM Central European Time. The second soldier, who sustained potentially serious injuries, was transported by ambulance to a different hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition and kept overnight for observation.

In their statement, the US Army expressed gratitude to the Hungarian National Emergency Services for their swift response and continued assistance.
Camp Croft is one of several military installations in Hungary that regularly host joint training exercises between NATO forces and the Hungarian Defence Forces. These exercises are part of ongoing defence cooperation aimed at enhancing interoperability and preparedness among allied troops stationed in the region.
