Direct charter flights launched from Debrecen to Barcelona

Turizmus.com has announced the great news that people living in Southern Hungary can even travel to Barcelona by direct flights from Debrecen. There are other destinations like Egypt, Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece as holiday destinations.

Tourists can reach Barcelona from Debrecen with direct flights in the summer for the first time. Planes are going to operate on daytime schedule only on Fridays, between June 15 and 28 September 2018. IBUSZ is going to rent the Boeing 737-800 airliner from the Travel Service airline, which has a seating capacity of 189 people.

Furthermore, in the 2018 summer season, flights are going to be launched from Debrecen to the Greek Zakyntos, to the Turkish Antalya, to Burgas in the Black Sea region, and to the Egyptian Hurghada, too.

At the same time, many East German tourists come to visit Debrecen or Hajdúszoboszló in the summer season from Erfurt, Leipzig, and Dresden, reports László Tamás, Aviation Development Director at Debrecen Airport.

Zoltán Komora, Chief Executive Officer of IBUSZ, reveals that it is a great pleasure to them that they are the 1st to provide direct charter flights to Barcelona, that is one of the most popular and attractive tourist destinations in Europe. As he pointed out, it is also a great news that IBUSZ, one of the leading travel agencies in Hungary, provides the incredible opportunity for Southern Hungarians to reach Spain in the 2018 summer season.

Besides Barcelona, other attractive destinations, like Costa Brava and Costa Dorada can also be reached by flights.

Furthermore, another novelty introduced is that the passengers of the direct charter flights travelling from Debrecen can also book their tickets for Mediterranean cruises departing from Barcelona on a weekly basis, in advance.

The Vice President also expressed that they look forward to the 2018 season, and added that they expect to transport more than 2,500 travellers from Debrecen to Barcelona by the end of the season. In order to serve the interest of the tourists better, they also provide a wide choice of accommodations to choose from, both from the higher and the lower categories. These can be booked at favourable prices with immediate booking confirmation provided.

Furthermore, apart from all these novelties, the airport also continues its flights to the favoured Greek destination, the island of Zakynthos, reports the Vice President.
