Google Street View car attacked with pitchfork in Hungary

The man complained that the Google Street View car was filming the area.
A man from Balatonőszöd attacked Google’s street view car with a pitchfork because he didn’t like the car taking pictures of the neighbourhood, sonline.hu reports.
The events were confirmed by the Somogy County Police Headquarters. It was reported that on 22 May at around 11 AM, a man complained in the centre of Balatonőszöd that a car with a street camera was filming the area with a permit.
He pulled the driver over, questioned him angrily, and then used a pitchfork to damage the camera system, which was rendered inoperable.
The driver of the Google car then informed the police, who soon apprehended the aggressive man and brought him to the police station in Siófok. Investigators questioned the 51-year-old man from Balatonőszöd on suspicion of criminal damage.
Google Street View cars are back on Hungarian roads in the spring. The main aim of this year’s tour is to update photos of cities and the roads connecting them, Telex explains.
