Majority of electorate wants Orbán for PM, poll reveals
Half of the electorate supports Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s candidacy as head of government at next spring’s general election, the latest poll of the Századvég Foundation showed.
Ruling Fidesz candidate Orbán continues to lead the poll with 52 percent. Gergely Karácsony, joint PM candidate of the Socialists and Párbeszéd, is supported by 13 percent, green LMP’s Bernadett Szél by 11 percent and Gábor Vona of Jobbik by 8 percent, Századvég said.
The poll was conducted via phone on a sample of 1,000 randomly chosen adults, between December 12 and 18.
